The Project ChainGrip Peak - Prototype is Latitude 64's experimental take on the Peak mold — a stable, beadless putter with a flight profile built around straight lines, reliable torque resistance, and a soft, predictable finish. Comfortable off the tee, dependable on approach, and consistent enough to trust inside the circle.
What makes this version a prototype is the construction and material. Latitude 64 is exploring a dual-plastic layout — a Zero Hard inner core paired with a softer, tackier outer rim — with the goal of improving chain contact on impact without the touch points of the disc being too grippy. Whether that translates meaningfully to real-world performance is part of what this run is meant to find out. If you're curious about where the design is headed, this is an early look.
Flight Characteristics
The Peak mold flies with a neutral, straight-to-stable trajectory. At moderate power it holds its line well with minimal turn, finishing with a gentle, reliable fade. It's not a disc that demands much from the thrower, which makes it a consistent option across a range of skill levels and shot types.

Features
- Dual-Plastic Construction (Prototype): A split-material layout combining a Zero Hard inner core with a softer, tackier outer rim — designed with the intent of improving grip and chain contact. Still in testing.
- Zero Hard Core: The structural foundation uses Latitude 64's established Zero Hard plastic for a firm, familiar feel and consistent flight.
- Very Grippy Outer Rim: The outer edge uses a grippier blend aimed at increasing chain-grab on impact — the degree to which this performs as intended is part of what this prototype is exploring.
- Beadless Peak Mold: Clean, low-profile rim that works for both putting and approach without feeling bulky in the hand. (NOTE: Other Peak runs have beads)
- Stable Flight Platform: Speed 3, Glide 3, Turn 0, Fade 1 — a straightforward, dependable flight that suits a wide range of players.
Who Is This Disc For?
- Any Skill Level — Straight Putter Seekers: If you want a putter that holds its line, resists turning over, and finishes predictably, the Peak mold delivers that regardless of your arm speed or experience level.
- Any Skill Level — Approach Players: The stable, low-speed flight makes it a capable utility disc for controlled shots inside the circle and on the fairway, though putting is the primary focus of this version.
- Curious Players Who Want In Early: This is a prototype run. If you're interested in being part of the testing process — throwing it, forming an opinion, and seeing where the dual-plastic concept goes — this is your chance to get one before the design is finalized.
