Built for experienced players who can generate substantial throwing speed, the Latitude 64 Opto HEX Raketen - Special Edition is an extremely fast distance driver with workable high-speed turn and a strong, predictable finish. Its speed 15 rim is intended for maximum-distance shots rather than beginner-friendly control.

Raketen, Swedish for “The Rocket,” stands out for the textured hexagonal pattern across its top plate, inspired by the dimples on a golf ball. The design was created to explore whether surface texture could reduce drag and help the disc maintain speed, though its aerodynamic effect remains open to debate. Two smooth thumb-grip areas interrupt the textured surface for a more familiar contact point.

Flight Characteristics

At full power, the Raketen is designed to show some high-speed turn before producing a dependable fade. Players with stronger arms may use that movement to shape long flex lines and open-fairway distance shots. Its wide rim and very high speed requirement make it less suitable for newer players or slower arm speeds.
