Build toward longer throws with the Dino Discs Egg Shell Pterodactyl. This understable 9-speed distance driver combines a manageable rim with lightweight construction, making it an approachable option for young disc golfers and players without a lot of arm speed. It offers a stepping stone to more distance without requiring a super-high-speed release.

Flight Characteristics

The Pterodactyl pairs understable turn with glide and a gentle finishing fade. Its rim isn't too wide, so players don't need a high-speed release to start exploring its flight. While it still falls in the distance driver category, its manageable design and light weight make it a useful gateway to longer throws down the fairway for younger players and lower arm speeds.

Speed: 9 | Glide: 5 | Turn: -3 | Fade: 1

Young Disc Golfers: Developing players ready to try a manageable distance driver.
Lower Arm Speeds: Players looking for a lightweight, understable driver that doesn't require a high-speed release.

Casual Play: Recreational rounds and practice outside sanctioned tournament play.

Not PDGA Approved

Dino Discs meet PDGA technical specifications, and many give previously approved molds from other brands a new life. The brand skips the paid approval process to keep prices down for its core audience: kids learning the game, not competing in sanctioned tournaments. So while they are not PDGA approved, they do meet the requirements.

These discs are not PDGA approved and are intended for casual play, not sanctioned PDGA tournaments.
