The defining flight trait of this disc is its very high-speed turn. Boasting a heavy -4.5 turn rating, the Orbital reacts immediately to air resistance by banking heavily to the right (for right-handed, backhand throwers) almost instantly out of the hand. It requires very little power to trigger this lateral tracking flight. Because its low-speed fade is a minimal 1, it refuses to fight back aggressively to the left at the end of its line, instead drifting smoothly and settling flatly onto the fairway.

Physically, the Orbital features a fast 11-speed rim width combined with a flat flight plate and a remarkably low-profile, shallow wing edge.
