Kastaplast

Kastaplast emerged in 2011 from a small, experimental prototyping workshop into a prominent voice in modern disc golf culture. Founded in Stockholm, Sweden, by Jonas Lindberg and later expanded alongside partners Anders Källström and Per Jonson, the brand treats disc golf as a grassroots movement rooted in individuality and creative freedom. Despite growing out of its original basement workshop into a global brand represented by team players across nine countries, Kastaplast preserves its original hands-on development style—combining advanced computer flight simulation and rigorous material research with extensive physical prototyping. Today, the brand has evolved into an international community connected by a passion for high-performance engineering, independent design, and their signature mint green aesthetic.

The Premium K1 Family

  • K1 Line: Kastaplast's flagship premium material. It is a super-durable compound that delivers a balanced combination of structural firmness and slight gumminess. Engineered for maximum abrasion resistance, discs molded in K1 Line maintain their original flight characteristics over extensive use and are produced in both solid and translucent colors.
  • K1 Hard: A stiffer variation of the classic K1 formula. While preserving the polished, gummy feel of the original compound, K1 Hard features increased structural hardness that does not beat in as fast. This added rigidity naturally injects a touch more high-speed stability into the disc, making it a favorite for tour series releases.
  • K1 Soft: Built upon the premium quality of the K1 line, this variation is structurally modified to be noticeably flexier and grippier. Designed for high tactile security, K1 Soft provides enhanced palm traction and absorbs ground impacts quickly, while still maintaining premium durability in both solid and translucent color layouts.
  • K1 Glow-Line: Formulated with the exact high-durability and material properties of the standard K1 line, but embedded with premium luminous additives. It delivers a highly reactive, long-lasting glow finish that provides exceptional visual clarity during night rounds.
  • K1 Grind: A dedicated eco-friendly production run engineered to minimize manufacturing waste. Made from 100% recycled K1 premium plastic, Grind line discs are structurally configured exclusively in distinct, two-tone visual styles across the flight plate and outer rim.

Advanced Hybrid & Baseline Lines

  • K4 Line: A specialized soft hybrid plastic that bridges the gap between traditional baseline and premium tiers. While its surface structure will show standard course wear and tear over time, the composite blend ensures that the disc's core aerodynamic flight features and rim stability remain intact. Very sticky and grippy. 
  • K3 Line: The brand's core baseline plastic compound, engineered to prioritize high-friction grip in all weather conditions. It features a medium-soft structural profile compared to typical industry base lines, allowing players to naturally season the disc into a comfortable, worked-in sweet spot relatively quickly.
  • K3 Hard: The rigid, high-density evolution of the standard K3 baseline formula. The increased firmness of this blend slows down the physical aging process significantly, protecting the outer edge from rapid scuffing while maintaining a dry, secure hand feel.
  • K3 Glow-Line: Fuses the grippy, high-friction properties of the standard K3 baseline compound with an integrated mix of glow plastic, providing night-golf visibility with a classic matte texture.
