Latitude 64 Project Grip Moonshine Pure Glow Test: Which Color Glows Best?
Share
A hands-on glow test and color comparison of the Latitude 64 dual-plastic putter release.
The Latitude 64 Project Grip Moonshine Pure officially drops on November 5, 2026 at 8am CT! This release combines the neutral-flying Pure with Latitude 64’s dual-plastic "Project Grip" construction and Moonshine glow technology.
My first thought was, "Wow, this is really cool." That was instantly followed by, "But how well does it glow?" So I decided to charge up four discs, shut off the lights, and put them to the test. I had four distinct colors on the testing table: Orange, Pink, Blue, and Yellow. I wanted to see how these four discs compared in visible brightness and glow retention after dark.
Or, skip the test and shop the Project Grip Moonshine Pure here.
Round 1: The Side-by-Side Grid Test
For the first baseline test, I lined up all four discs flat on the ground next to each other. I snapped an initial photo with the lights on to establish the exact layout. Next, I killed the lights, charged each disc individually using a high-powered UV flashlight, and began capturing the results at specific time intervals.

A Potential Issue (Human Error?)
During this first round, I noticed that the Yellow disc seemed to fade much faster and appeared noticeably dimmer than the other three options. However, I immediately questioned this initial result.
I wondered whether the time it took me to move from one disc to another was longer than I thought. If I had charged Yellow first, it would have had more time to fade before I took the photo.
To check this, I ran a quick, unphotographed spot test between just the Pink and Yellow discs. After charging them side by side with no long gap between the two, I watched them fade in real time. The Yellow disc again appeared to lose its visible glow much faster. I wanted to document that pattern with another photographed test. I had also noticed that the rims seemed to glow brighter than the flight plates, which gave me an idea for the next setup.
Round 2: The Stacked Rim Test
To reduce gaps in charge time, I changed the layout. I stacked all four discs directly on top of each other, offsetting them just enough to expose about 1 to 2 inches of the rim and outer top plate of each color variant.
This layout served two testing purposes:
- Reduced Flashlight Travel Time: It allowed me to sweep the UV flashlight across all four discs much faster, even hitting a couple at the same time, reducing the delay between charging the first and last disc.
- Focused Rim Exposure: In the first test, I noticed the rims seemed to glow brighter than the flight plates. Stacking them allowed me to focus the camera directly on those rims.
This was an informal visual comparison of these four discs, not a measured brightness test. The stacked layout reduced charging delays, but did not guarantee equal UV exposure for every disc. Camera exposure can also affect how glow appears in photos, so treat the ranking as my observations from this test rather than a guarantee for every disc of each color.

The Final Verdict: Which Color Glows Best?
The second test showed the same pattern I observed in the first. Of the four discs I tested, Blue appeared brightest and retained its visible glow longest. If you are picking a Project Grip Moonshine Pure based on glow performance, here is how the four discs ranked in my test:
- 1st Place: Blue — My top pick in this test. It appeared brightest immediately after charging and retained its visible glow longest out of the four discs.
- 2nd Place: Pink — A very close runner-up. It appeared bright and easy to see, with strong visible glow retention in this test.
- 3rd Place: Orange — Noticeably dimmer over time than Blue and Pink, but still holding some visible glow at the 5 and 10 minute marks.Â
- 4th Place: Yellow — Faded fastest in this test. While it looked appealing immediately after charging, its visible glow appeared to fade significantly faster than the other three discs.
If your primary goal is maximizing visibility and minimizing your chances of lost plastic during midnight rounds, Blue or Pink would be my picks based on these four discs.Â
